The Joy is owned by the local community theatre group. It is an old movie theater rennovated to be used as a stage theatre. Quality performances grace the stage 4 times a year. The group has kept as much of the old fixtures and orginal materials as possible...very nostalgic and charming! The building and attached garden are also available for rental for private occasions, weddings, concerts, lectures, performances, etc.

Fabulous venue. I came to see the annual LIBERTY MOUNTAIN REVOLUTIONARY DRAMA, the story of the battle of King's Mountain fought in October 1780, the turning point of the War for Independence. The Carolina's must always be proud. I plan on returning each summer.
